Split UPI payments without losing a paise

QR Bench splits the requested total using integer paise. Every generated amount is positive, and all generated amounts add up exactly to the original total.

How equal splits handle a remainder

For ₹4,500.01 across three payments, the total is 450001 paise. Dividing it gives 150000 paise per payment and one paise left over. The first payment gets that paise.

PaymentAmount
1₹1,500.01
2₹1,500.00
3₹1,500.00
Total₹4,500.01

Leftover paise are allocated to the earliest payments, one each. No payment is rounded independently in a way that changes the total.

When to use custom split

Choose custom split for a deposit plus balance, unequal contributions or a payment schedule agreed separately. Enter each amount and watch Allocated and Remaining. Generation stays disabled until every row has a positive amount and Remaining is exactly ₹0.

For a ₹4,500 total, a ₹1,000 deposit and ₹3,500 balance are a valid allocation. ₹1,000 and ₹3,499.99 are not. Remove an unused row rather than leaving a zero-value payment.

What a split does not provide

Separate codes are not scheduled transfers, AutoPay mandates or invoices. The tool does not assign due dates, collect automatically or track who has paid. Keep those records separately and verify receipt through your bank.

A split must reflect a legitimate payment arrangement. QR Bench does not recommend splitting one commercial transaction to avoid charges, change classification or bypass network rules.

Practical limits

The tool supports up to 100 payments per generation and rejects a split that would create a payment below one paise. These are local utility limits, not promised banking limits. A bank or UPI app may reject a validly encoded amount for its own reasons.
